The DoD central epidemiological resource and a global health surveillance proponent for the U.S. Armed Forces provide timely, relevant, actionable, and comprehensive health surveillance information. Supports the Operations Officer as needed. Assists the Senior Program Manager ensuring Contractor team successfully performs contractually required administrative support tasks. Manages the Chief and Deputy Chief’s personal calendars and keeps the headquarters calendar up to date and coordinates documents for signature, filing and archiving. Screens, answers, and takes messages for phone calls and supports administrative travel needs for personnel. Provides advice on workflow and operational procedures to increase efficiency, productivity and makes overall improvements to the program. Drafts and edits memorandums and other documents as needed by personnel. Receives, relays, takes messages; handles and tracks all incoming phone calls; distributes faxes and mail; orders office supplies; and performs other clerical duties. Professionally greets all visitors. Informs staff of visitor arrivals. Maintains conference room calendars, phone lists, and make arrangements for meetings as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 6 to 10 years of related experience in project or program management. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint. Experience at writing DoD correspondence. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
