Senior Operations Coordinator

The DoD central epidemiological resource and a global health surveillance proponent for the U.S. Armed Forces provide timely, relevant, actionable, and comprehensive health surveillance information. The mission is to promote, maintain, and enhance the health of military and military-associated populations.

Responsabilities

Assists the Science Advisor, ensuring Contractor team successfully performs contractually required administrative support tasks. Manages the GEIS Chief and Deputy Chief’s personal calendars; coordinates documents for signature, filing and archiving. Screens, answers, and takes messages for phone calls and supports administrative travel needs for personnel. Provides advice on workflow and operational procedures to increase efficiency, productivity and makes overall improvements to the program. Drafts and edits memorandums, standard operating procedures and other documents as needed by personnel. Provides administrative support to the daily functions, to include but not limited to: Scheduling meetings; recording and distribution of meeting minutes; drafting and reporting of weekly activities; following-up and informing personnel on expired data use agreements, required training, and other similar related items; assistance with travel plans and documentation, drafting and updating SOPs; and Reviewing products and deliverables for grammatical and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 6 to 10 years of related experience in project or program management. Operational military experience is preferred as this person will need to interact with DHA, CCMD, Office of the Joint Staff (OJSS) and military Service-specific public health and medical leaders. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This position will require a Secret clearance.
