The DoD central epidemiological resource and a global health surveillance proponent for the U.S. Armed Forces provide timely, relevant, actionable, and comprehensive health surveillance information. The mission is to promote, maintain, and enhance the health of military and military-associated populations.
Location: Washintong DC Metro
1. Assists in collecting new requirements for development to meet customer’s needs.
2. Assists in resolving complex IT program and implementation issues, especially with cross platform data and IT systems that require coordination and compatibility.
3. Provides suggestions as appropriate on situations requiring changes in resources, impacts on established policies, broad program goals, or projected timetables.
4. Analyzes and refines customer requirements, translating requirements into applications revisions and upgrades.
5. Designs user interfaces and works with customers to test applications and assures software and systems quality and functionality.
6. Evaluates new applications software technologies.
7. Writes and maintains program documentation.
8. Ensures that the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services.
Required Qualifications:
1. Associates degree or higher required
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT environment
3. Experience with testing and troubleshooting web applications
4. Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite
5. Experience in providing technical help desk support to end users and customers
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), training guides, quick references, tutorials, and User Guides.
2. Experience with Disease Reporting System Internet (DRSi), Electronic Deployment Health Assessment (eDHA), and Health Risk Assessment (HRA) preferred.
