The DoD central epidemiological resource and a global health surveillance proponent for the U.S. Armed Forces provide timely, relevant, actionable, and comprehensive health surveillance information. The mission is to promote, maintain, and enhance the health of military and military-associated populations.
Location: Washintong DC Metro
Develops, coordinates, and evaluates media and community relations programs. Provides draft strategic communications products to the Government in support of the mission. Uses public affairs, communications, and marketing experience to report on current surveillance activities involving Agency in print, web, electronic presentations, or multimedia production.
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years’ experience in journalism, social media, and public health issues along with strong written and oral communication skills.
